FORTHCOMING EVENTS: Wednesday 27th May 2009 - 7.15 pm at the Gateacre Institute, Grange Lane, Liverpool L25 Later in the year, the Friends will be entering North West in Bloom 2009. For this and other local projects, they need your support. In 2008 Gateacre did well: the Friends were awarded the Second Runner-up prize in the 'Small Village' category. You can see what the Friends have achieved in the GATEACRE IN BLOOM 2008 AND 2007 PORTFOLIOS. If you would like to volunteer to help with the work in the village, please contact the Friends - or simply come along to the next meeting. Provisional MEETING DATES for the rest of 2009 are as follows: Tue 16 Jun, Wed 15 Jul, Tue 18 Aug, Wed 16 Sep, Tue 20 Oct, Wed 18 Nov. These monthly meetings generally start at 7.15 pm.
