FORTHCOMING EVENTS: MEETINGS of the Friends of Gateacre are planned for the following dates, 7.15 pm at the Woolton Social Club (a.k.a. Conservative Club), Grange Lane, Liverpool L25, though it is advisable to seek confirmation of the date and time first: Tues 26th August - Wed 24th September Tues 21st October - Wed 26th November 2008 ALL INTERESTED RESIDENTS of Gateacre are invited to attend The Friends had a Spring Cleaning Day on 26th April 2008, and they have sponsored Gateacre Comprehensive School's Tudorlambanana! You can see pictures of the Tudorlambanana in our Flickr album. They also entered North West in Bloom 2008, the judging of which took place on 23rd July. You can see what the Friends achieved, this year and last, in the GATEACRE IN BLOOM 2008 AND 2007 PORTFOLIOS. You can also download a copy of the Friends' Spring 2008 Newsletter The Cricket Field is in the process of being improved, with a new landscape design, seats, picnic tables, etc. To continue with this work, and with other local projects, the Friends need your support.
